Prospect High School presents 'Spelling Bee'

Prospect High School will present the Tony Award-winning musical comedy, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 14-16, with a 2 p.m. matinee also on Saturday.

In the play, six of Putnam County's quirkiest spelling titans want nothing more than to be the best, and fiercely battle for the title, only to learn that winning isn't everything and losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser. This comical competition comes alive with a cornucopia of spelling words, sharp humor and interaction with the best spellers in the audience. Before each performance, three members of the audience are chosen to participate onstage in the spelling bee.
