Wauconda-area museum celebrates Scouting

The Lake County Forest Preserve District's Discovery Museum will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts on Sunday, Oct. 17.

The program will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum, in the Lakewood Forest Preserve near Wauconda. The event is open to kids 5 or older who are accompanied by adults. Participation is free with a paid museum admission.
