Hispanic culture celebrated in Arlington Heights

District 214 Community Education presents the 26th Annual Fiesta Cultural, a four-hour celebration of Latino sights and sounds, at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights.

Bask in the breathtaking virtuosity, fiery guitars and mesmerizing world of percussion from Guitarra Azul. Allow yourself to be transported to the beauty and culture of Mexico through the art of folkloric dance by Ballet Folklorico Huehuecoyotl. Tap your feet and dance as Studio Viva performs the salsa, bachata and ballroom cha-cha.

Tickets are $15 and include four hours of music, performances, dancing and free refreshments.

Tickets are $10 to watch performances of Guitarra Azul and Ballet Folklorico Huehuecoyotl from 2-4 p.m. in the center's theater.

“Fiesta Cultural is a celebration that offers community members from all walks of life the chance to come together to learn more about the fascinating and wondrous Latino culture, said Michael S. Field, director of Northwest Suburban High School District 214 Community Education.
