Miner School in Arlington Heights holds bowling fundraiser

Miner School in Arlington Heights is hosting its third annual Friends and Family Bowling Fundraiser from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at Arlington Lanes, 3435 N. Kennicott Ave., Arlington Heights.

Two games of bowling, pizza and pop are $20; reservations should be made in advance. Raffle tickets for donated merchandise and a split the pot raffle will also be held. Previous bowling events have raised $6,000.

Miner School, part of the Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization, provides students who may exhibit severe academic learning difficulties, mild to moderate cognitive disabilities, speech/language delays, autism, emotional disabilities, and/or other health impairments with a comprehensive educational program emphasizing a continuum of curricular skills together with a comprehensive team approach which addresses the needs of the whole child.
