Dart has protected the most vulnerable
Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart has many accomplishments to the degree of being recognized as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time Magazine. Dart tirelessly worked to unveil the horrific desecration of numerous graves at a prominent African-American cemetery. He vigilantly implored Craigslist to eliminate its adult services section as a means to protect vulnerable girls and women from being violently attacked and killed by murderous sociopaths.
Dart demonstrated laudable character and empathy when he refused to evict economically challenged people from their imperiled homes during our nation's dire financial crisis. Both the Humane Society of the United States and the Animal Welfare League have paid tribute to Dart's animal crimes unit for proactively pursuing and arresting viciously inhumane criminals who mistreat, abuse and kill innocent dogs, cats, horses and other companion animals.
When he was in the state legislature Dart was integral in implementing many child welfare reforms. Not only does he have credentials Tom Dart also has a heart for crime victims, the poor, women, children and animals. He would be a formidable Chicago mayoral aspirant.
