Mt. Prospect to host Fall Fest
The Mount Prospect Downtown Merchants Association will host the annual Fall Festival and Octoberfest celebration Oct. 16 in downtown Mount Prospect, Emerson Street and Busse Avenue.
The Fall Festival is 1-4 p.m. with hay rides, pony rides, moon bounces, pumpkin decorating, crafts, balloons, the never-ending trick or treat candy line. tattoos and a stilt walker. Kids can snack on taffy apples and German pretzels or enjoy a full array of German food.
All activities are free. From 4-10:30 p.m. is Octoberfest, with authentic German food, beer and music by Phenix under a heated tent. Try to win the Best German Attire Contest. www.downtownmountprospect.com.
