Blackhawks nominated for five Emmy Awards

The Chicago Blackhawks have been nominated for five Emmy Awards from the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for the 2009-10 television season. The nominations were announced on September 28 with the awards ceremony to be held at Park West in Chicago on Saturday, November 6.

The Blackhawks five nominations are:

• Category 13-c Outstanding Achievement for Sports Programs - Sports Program Series Covering Sports of Based on a Sports Theme

o "Blackhawks TV"

• Category 13-d Outstanding Achievement for Sports Programs - Sports Segment/Feature

o "Road Trip with the Equipment Staff"

• Category 16-a Outstanding Achievement for Announcements/Campaigns - Single Commercial Announcement or Campaign - Short Form

o "Chicago Blackhawks: One Goal"

o "We're Proud"

• Category 19-d Outstanding Achievement for Individual Excellence off Camera: Videographer - Non-News

Located on chicagoblackhawks.com, Blackhawks TV received over 11.2 million video views last season, most in the National Hockey League. The television debut of Blackhawks TV ran on Comcast SportsNet on December 25 while the second and third episodes of the 30-minute program ran on WGN-TV on February 14 and March 28.
