Some of the best are already seated
These are the times that try men's souls. In these dire economic times we the people are disillusioned and angry. It is surprising to see how rapidly a panic will sometimes run through a country. All nations and ages have been subject to them.
This is an election season in which we must calm down and make rational decisions. We must not lose some of the very best.
I believe we in northeastern Illinois have been blessed with some of the best state legislators. Elaine Nekritz and Susan Garrett represent me in the Illinois House and Senate, and they both have worked hard to make Illinois a better state. This not only my opinion; the lists of their endorsements and respect of the other party for these legislators is well-documented.
Others I have high respect for are Karen May and Mark Walker. Beth Coulson was a moderate Republican, but she has been caught up in this angry nonsensical reaction to the times. Hopefully her district will elect and young energetic intelligent man named Dan Biss.
Let us not be swayed by the terrorist-like rhetoric or those whose only plan is to say no. I can only thank God that I fear not. I see no real cause for fear. I know our situation well, and can see the way out of it.
Let's vote for those who will compromise and work for a better Illinois for it matters not where you live or what rank of life you hold; the decisions made will affect rich and the poor, and we will suffer or rejoice alike.
