Scouting Riverside-Brookfield at Fenton

Riverside-Brookfield (1-4, 1-1) at Fenton (3-2, 2-0)

Game time: 7 p.m. today.

Last week: Ridgewood 19, Riverside-Brookfield 12; Fenton 42, Elmwood Park 0.

Last year: Fenton 33, Riverside-Brookfield 22; Riverside-Brookfield 28, Fenton 7.

Outlook: Surprisingly, the Bulldogs need a win to stay playoff eligible. The Bulldogs' traditionally high-flying passing offense is now more balanced. Running back Nick Callahan, switched from quarterback, is the main offensive force who rushed for 150 yards in the Bulldogs' lone win. Keep an eye on Fenton's ground game behind linemen Freddie Joyner and Charles Fleishacker. The switch of Sean Havlovic to quarterback helped the Bison roll up 84 points the last two weeks. Linebackers Matt Szajnowski and Colin Byrne anchor the defense along with Fleishacker on the line.

Next week: Riverside-Brookfield at Elmwood Park; Fenton at Ridgewood.
