Outlook: Both on the cusp of upset wins last week, Neuqua Valley coach Bryan Wells and District 204 counterpart Ted Monken each addressed "critical" moments that turned the tide. Metea will see if it can plug the gaps in Neuqua's offensive line and force Wildcats quarterback Jeff Samuel to throw after South Elgin sacked him 7 times. Neuqua Valley has its hands full containing Metea running back Tre'Sean Mackey, receiver Alex Hagemaster and tight end Zach Wood, but Wells likes his corners Alex Malandro and Ryan McDermott on the perimeter and said linebacker T.J. Rhattigan continues to play "lights out" 14 tackles last week, 3 for loss.

Next week: Waubonsie Valley vs. Neuqua Valley at North Central College; Bartlett at Metea Valley.
