Mt. Prospect seeks cyclists input at meeting

Attention Mount Prospect bicyclers: Mount Prospect officials are working on the village's first bike plan and are hosting a public meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Mount Prospect Village Hall, 50 S. Emerson St., in the third floor boardroom.

To develop the plan, Mount Prospect has contracted the Active Transportation Alliance, which is a not-for-profit organization that works to make bicycling, walking and public transit safe, convenient and fun.

New restaurant opens on AlgonquinLety's Sports Bar Grill opened this week at 1827 W. Algonquin Road, Mount Prospect. The eatery offers a full menu of sandwiches, pizza, burgers, fajitas and appetizers and has a full bar, according to co-owners Jesus Rosales and Francisco Flores. Lety's Sports Bar Grill is open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily and will offer daily food and drink specials.
