Antioch wins Harvard invite

Harvard Invitational: Antioch captured the championship, going 5-0 on the day with a two-game victory over Genoa-Kingston capping the invite.

The Sequoits also defeated Faith Lutheran, Harvard, Oregon and South Beloit. The champs were led by Brianna Grant's 38 kills, 12 blocks and 14 aces.

Antioch (10-8) also got 13 blocks and 13 kills from Jessica Ploss and 89 digs from Amber Dalgaard. Savana Bailey added 33 assists and 14 aces, while Lindsey Gofron dished out 38 assists. Lauren Tiffany rang up 11 kills.

"The girls stepped up, played aggressively and as a team," Antioch coach Glen Heitman said. "They were able to come from behind repeatedly to beat Harvard."
