Police credit concerned neighbors for drug arrests of 3 in Naperville

Naperville police are crediting concerned neighbors with bringing down a drug sale operation.

Since early August, police said they have received complaints about a man selling cannabis from the driveway and front yard of his uncle's home at 1724 Baybrook Lane.

While observing the home Wednesday, members of the Naperville Police Department's Special Operations Group and Intel Unit observed Chinedu O. Mbamalu, 21, of Glen Ellyn, selling cannabis at 9:05 p.m. Police said they also recovered an undisclosed amount of cannabis, a scale and packaging after the arrest.

Also arrested were Monique Romero, 24, of Aurora, and Katherine L. Bogar, 22, of Naperville.

Mbamalu is charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, a felony. Romero and Bogar are charged with possession of cannabis, a misdemeanor.
