PHS presents 'Putnam County Spelling Bee'

Prospect High School will present the Tony Award-winning musical comedy, "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 14-16.

Curtain times are 7 p.m. each night and a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday.

Six of Putnam County's quirkiest spelling titans want nothing more than to be the B-E-S-T, and fiercely battle for the title, only to learn that winning isn't everything and losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser.

This comical competition comes alive with a cornucopia of spelling words, a plethora of sharp humor, and intelligent interaction from only the best spellers in the audience (which could be you!). Before each performance, three members of the audience are chosen to participate onstage in the spelling bee.

The director is Jeremy Morton, vocal director is Coleen Timler, assistant director is Stephen Collela, technical director is Matt Erbach; costumer is Pat Doyle, and house manager is Sandy Ghilarducci.

Admission is $8 at the door or $7 in advance. For tickets or additional information, call (847) 718-5554.
