Krauthammer out of touch with tea party

Regarding Charles Krauthammer's column "Liberals Under siege," I get the feeling that this is a guy who's watching the clock, waiting for his shift to end. How does a man this naive become nationally syndicated? Does he really think there's not racism at those tea-bagger rallies; displaying signs of apes with Obama's face superimposed, or Obama with a Hitler mustache? When 30 percent of the GOP believes Obama wasn't born in the U.S.? When 35 percent of them believe he is a Muslim?

C'mon, Charles! And who are these pollsters you're quoting, showing overwhelming opposition to Obama's agenda -- the Rasmussen poll? Pullleeeze. The Rasmussen poll is to impartiality as Fox News is to "fair and balanced" (although I don't think Rasmussen donated $1 million to the GOP, as Rupert Murdoch, owner of Fox News, did).

And, why, when the right-leaning U.S. Supreme Court rules that corporations, domestic AND foreign, can donate any amount to our elections, do you say they are strictly adhering to the Constitution, but when a federal judge in California rules that Prop. 8 (outlawing gay marriage) is unconstitutional, he's an "activist" judge with gay tendencies? And what's with the GOP wanting to repeal the 14th Amendment because a foreigner might have a baby in the U.S.? And the tea party movement is "spontaneous" and "leaderless"? Charles, have you heard of the Koch brothers, billionaires who have been financing the tea party and anti-Obama alliance for years? Rupert Murdoch? Not spontaneous, not leaderless. People ask why I pay any attention to Limbaugh, Beck, Palin, etc. Because these are the people you listen to, believe, and quote ad nauseum -- and you are making them rich! Limbaugh has a billion dollars in personal wealth, and Beck made $34 million last year, according to Forbes. (Do you think the rally last weekend was anything but selling the Beck brand?)

They are demagogues and charlatans and they are laughing all the way to bank. They are playing you for fools.

And the anti-mosque proponents aren't anti-Muslim? See me about some ocean-front property I own in Arizona. I'll give you a deal!
