Rt. 25, Gilbert St. constructionRoute 25 from Gilbert Street to the Canadian National Railroad crossing closed Monday, Sept. 20, for approximately 14 days. The work is being done as part of the Stearns Road Bridge project. In addition, Gilbert Street, at Route 25, will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday as part of the work. The railroad company needs to close the road to repair and widen the track crossing just south of Gilbert Street. Detours will use Dunham/Kirk Road and Routes 64 and 25. If you are a parent of a home-schooled student who has been identified with a disability and you reside within the boundaries of Kaneland Unit District 302, you are urged to attend.
