No bathrooms in Fox River Grove public works garage?

I live in Fox River Grove and the brain trust sinking the village have reached a new low. In less than two weeks, three of the brain trust want to approve a public works garage that is so overpriced they will not tell the residents how much it will cost them. Right now, about $2,100 per house for phase one.

This does not include the interest, of which the federal government is supposed to kick in 35 percent. In the plan, there are no offices or bathrooms, but 40 percent of the space dedicated for trailer parking and a wash bay.

There was only one designer, engineering firm involved. No design bids, no engineering bids, no exploring any other options.

This brick Taj Mahal is going to raise water and sewer rates by 80 percent and at the end of the deal will be short a whole lot - hundreds of thousands of dollars. In the latest village newsletter, they did not print any information about the public meeting.

People in Fox River Grove, the folks you voted in and have given the village manager 40 percent in raises in the past five years and are way out of line. Show up and protest, or you are going to be spending more than $3,000 on the new public works garage that has no bathrooms in phase one.
