Dillard would have been great candidate
I write about your editorial "A labored look for someone to lead" for governor. There was a candidate and serious lawmaker running for governor, State Senator Kirk Dillard.
Dillard was strongly endorsed by virtually every newspaper in the state and by former Governor Jim Edgar, for whom Dillard was chief of staff. Senator Dillard showed what a "class act" he is by the manner in which he handled his 193-vote primary loss. Senator Dillard is the bi-partisan leader that Illinois surely needed.
