Oh, to bring back Harry Truman

I am tired of the talking heads saying the Democrats did this and the Republicans did that. The real issue is that government has been in a runaway state since the 1930s.

When was the last time you called your elected officials and actually received a satisfactory response from anyone except a volunteer intern? Your elected officials at all levels have failed to live up to the oaths taken; they cater to special interests and do little to represent you and solve the problems they have created: Budget crisis; high unemployment due to poor decisions at the executive and legislative levels; declining education; health care red tape and Medicare cost overruns. We didn't create this mess, but we sure have to help solve it.

My solution is to vote people into office who will honor true American values, work for the people and not special interests and aren't afraid to make unpopular decisions because they are the correct decisions too make.

If we could only resurrect Harry Truman, I wasn't alive when he was in office, but he was possibly the last public servant who took his oath seriously and lived his life that same way.
