The Bears signed linebacker Marcus Buggs to the practice squad and terminated the practice squad contract of wideout Greg Mathews.

Buggs joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent of the Buffalo Bills in 2008 out of Vanderbilt.

He appeared in nine total games with the Bills during the 2008 and 2009 season with two starts, recording 20 tackles and one tackle for a loss.

Buggs also registered four special teams tackles with Buffalo.
