Private sector must seize the moment
USA Today wrote an alarming article recently showing that workers in government, educators, have an average salary/benefits double those of private sector. On top of that federal government is determined to save every job in the public sector, giving workers job protection, salary and benefit increases.
This happens while the private sector deals with job/benefit losses,60-hour work weeks, foreclosures, expensive or no medical coverage They are bearing 100 percent of the severe economic downturn. The mood of the private sector is getting increasingly frustrated at being on the losing end of this two-tiered system. Especially on the state, local level, we are being hit with job layoffs, higher taxes, less services, home foreclosure, while government workers live comfortably, with secured jobs, guaranteed raises, low cost medical insurance and guaranteed pensions,
"It's a Wonderful Life " for government workers/educators, those protected by unions, while the private sector deals with job reductions, increased work loads and how to pay for all the financial security the public sector enjoys.
Many people say vote for new representation in government, but does it really make a difference? Just look at what you're getting for your tax dollars both on a local and federal level. This inequity can only be stopped by the private sector. How it is accomplished must be resolved soon, a taxpayer revolt, shut down of vital services only provided by private industry. Violence is not needed, but urgent immediate action must be taken.
Private sector - let's seize the moment for change. We are the majority. Let's take control of the situation and take control of our economic future We are the oxygen, blood, and lifeline that feeds the inefficiency of the public sector. It is us who made America prosper, not the government.
