Addison cops still investigating Sunday shooting

Addison police said Thursday they continue to investigate a shooting on Addison Road that took place late Sunday night, officials said.

Police were called to the 500 block of Addison Road at 9:21 p.m. Sunday with reports of shots being fired, Officer Megan Freeman said. There, officers found an unidentified man on the ground after having been shot in the buttocks.

He was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Freeman said, where he has since been released.

She said investigators are still working to identify the shooter. She did not release a description of the shooter.
