Ask candidates views on Constitution

The election is near and we are seeing the usual die-hard Republicans and Democrats saying all our problems are due to the "other" party's incompetence and if we would simply vote for them they will fix all our problems.

But will it, or has it? Take a look at our history and at some of the more important issues like the economy and war. Perchance do you see a pattern here? It doesn't matter which party was in power because nothing ever really changes. Spending keeps going up and we keep fighting wars. Why is this?

It is my belief that many of our leaders are merely puppets for an elite group of individual quietly working behind the scenes who are pulling the strings. These individuals are concerned only about their power and being in command. They have no loyalty to any party or even the country but through their control of much of the media they are able to essentially preselect who our candidates will be, thus ensuring that only those who will follow their orders get elected.

Consider the last election. Was it just a coincidence that virtually from the beginning many in the media were telling us that Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John McCain were the only viable candidates while everyone else was either ridiculed or ignored?

So if we ever hope to change this pattern we need to elect people, from any party, who will truly represent and work for us. Thus I have three questions I would ask of any candidate.

1. Have you read the Constitution?

2. Were you able to understand and comprehend what you read?

3. Most importantly, will you actually follow its rules and limitations?
