Cops: Cocaine, $100,000 discovered in Streamwood man's home
Carol Stream Police recently arrested a man they said was carrying about one-third of a pound of cocaine and about a quarter pound of cannabis.
The police, along with the DuPage Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Group, arrested Brian M. Villagas, 25, of Streamwood on Aug. 23. Police first announced the arrest on Wednesday.
Villagas is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver. Police said Villagas was caught with enough cocaine to charge him with a Class Super X Felony. That could see him sentenced to up to 30 years in prison.
Police also searched Villagas' residence and discovered an additional half pound of cocaine and about $100,000 in cash, according to a written police statement about the arrest.
Villagas is being held in the DuPage County jail on a $1 million bail.
