It's down to Miami, Notre Dame for Daniels
One of the state's most sought-after high school football recruits has chosen his Final Two.
Vernon Hills senior wide receiver/defensive back DaVaris Daniels told the Daily Herald on Tuesday that he will make a verbal commitment to either Miami (Florida) or Notre Dame.
He is uncertain, however, when he will make that decision.
"The recruitment is going good," Daniels said. "I've narrowed it down to two schools, but I'm really not ready to make a decision quite yet."
A speedy 6-foot-3 senior with a 411/2-inch vertical jump, Daniels scored a pair of touchdowns - one on a run and one on a pass - in the Cougars' 45-0, season-opening win over Niles West last Friday night.
He and his teammates host Chicago Raby this Friday night
