Kane tax bills:The second installment for Kane County property tax bills is due today. Taxpayers can go to kanecountytreasurer.org to view current tax information and print out duplicate bills. People can make payment at a designated bank in Kane County, or in person from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Treasurer David Rickert's office, 719 Batavia Ave., Geneva. There is also a payment drop box located behind Building A at the Government Center on Batavia Avenue. People can also pay by credit card or E-check online, but there is a convenience fee. For details, call Rickert's office at (630) 232-3565.Geneva '75 reunion:The Geneva High School Class of 1975 reunion is Sept. 24 and 25. The plan is to watch the varsity football game and gather at Old Towne Pub Sept. 24. On Sept. 25, there is a golf outing and a picnic in the evening at the farm of Clem and Patty Martin, 2S111 Greene Road, Elburn. To schedule an appointment, call the special education office at (630) 365-5111, ext. 158.Country Fair in DuPage: The DuPage County Forest Preserve District will help residents step back in time for an old-fashioned country fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Kline Creek Farm, 1N600 County Farm Road, near West Chicago. The fair will feature artifacts and oddities, a flea circus, a "gun spinner" and other activities visitors might have encountered in the 1890s. The event is free.
