No mention of race for Sharpton group

I am not a Glenn Beck fan. That said, I found it interesting that in the Page 2 story in the Aug. 29 Daily Herald: "Beck, Palin fire up conservatives," the reporters found it necessary to point out that Beck and Sarah Palin "appealed to a vast, predominantly white crowd."

In the same article the reporters mention that Al Sharpton held a counter rally at a nearby high school, yet felt no need to call out the racial mix of the Sharpton supporters. If the racial mix of the groups is somehow important to the story, then the reporters should mention the mix of both groups.

The Daily Herald editors should be a bit more careful to catch this kind of subtle one-sided reporting.
