Scouting Prospect at York

Prospect (8-3) at York (4-5)

When: 7:30 p.m. today at Clarence D. East Field

Last year's opener: Prospect d. York 41-27

Outlook: Prospect coach Brent Pearlman will see a familiar name from York in QB-LB Jim Nudera Jr. His dad Jim Sr. was Prospect's head coach from 1995-98 and Pearlman was an assistant before taking over when Nudera left for Oak Park. York just missed a sixth straight playoff trip but has offensive potential that includes TE Rob Crowe (6-4, 225), C Sean Crowe, RB Ryan Kent (538 yards) and WR David Byerley (20 catches, 298 yards, 2 TDs). "I'm hearing very good things about them and we're going to have to compete," Pearlman said. "I feel early in the season we're going to know who we are. There's nothing but positives about playing a great early schedule and this year we're in it."
