Scouting Leyden at Fenton

Leyden (8-3) at Fenton (6-4)

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Last year's opener: Leyden d. Fenton 28-0

Outlook: Both teams suffered big losses at the skill positions with Leyden losing record-setting RB Angel Maldonado and QB David Rose. Fenton turns to junior Joey Butz at QB and a rotation of RBs for first-year head coach and Palatine graduate Mark Kos. "I don't see much of a change with them," Leyden coach Tom Cerasani said of former head coach Mark Farrell still on the varsity staff. Fenton shared the Metro Suburban title last year.
