CoreLink moves headquarters to Mount Prospect

CoreLink Data Centers, a company that stores and maintains other businesses' IT systems, has relocated its headquarters from Phoenix, Ariz. to Mount Prospect.

The company moved into an 80,000-square-foot data center at 800 E. Business Center Drive where offices house about 15 employees. "We're enormously excited to be in the market here," said CoreLink President and COO Mike Duckett. The data center, a stand-alone facility on 51/2 acres, extends the company's national footprint to include Las Vegas, Phoenix and Seattle. CoreLink employs about 40 people across the country.

"This is a booming area for our industry," Duckett said of Chicago and its suburbs. The co-location and managed services provider supplies critical infrastructure, including power, cooling and connectivity, for small and medium-sized businesses.

The new data center incorporates a range of new security and management technologies, including biometric scanners, diverse Internet connections, redundant power equipment and modern fire detection and suppression systems.

"We man everything 24-7," Duckett said adding, "We bring peace of mind to our customers on a day-to-day basis."

CEO Geoff Hampson of Chicago founded the company late in 2007. "We are very pleased to have moved our head office to such a strategic and vibrant area of business and technology," he said.
