Contaminated salad tossed: Food manufacturer Fresh Express has recalled 2,825 cases of its Veggie Lovers Salad due to contamination of Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause fever, nausea and diarrhea, Kane County health officials said Wednesday. The affected cases have a product code of 1208 and an expiration date of Aug. 10, according to a news release. Officials said no illnesses had been reported in association with the recall.
