Calling me 'angry' entirely inaccurate
I'm an advocate of fair and accurate reporting, however, the inaccuracies and omissions in "Final piece still in limbo" (Aug. 2) are too numerous to mention in the limited space allowed for Letters to the Editor.
Considering the tens if not hundreds of thousands of mine and other Mount Prospect taxpayer dollars spent by Mayor Wilks and the village trustees on two failed plans by their favored developers it appears the statements of Mayor Wilks and village manager Janonis that Ms. Ahern chose to print are very lenient.
I'm troubled that a seasoned reporter would be so careless in her reporting and all she could get out of Mayor Wilks and village manager Janonis were superficial statements that do not provide any accountability or substantive answers for their words and actions.
And, I'm equally disappointed Ms. Ahern choose to portray my actions (which I'm assuming includes me communicating with the media) to protect myself as acts of "anger" and yet you portray Mayor Wilks' (the village's) actions as acts of "responsibility."
Do I have substantiated reasons to be angry, I think I do. But I'm not angry because thankfully I live in a country where I do have civil, property and free speech rights and a judicial system to turn too when my rights have been violated.
