Family-friendly cruise night gets rolling Tuesday in Algonquin

The Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce is ready to "rev" up the community with a cruise night including family fun activities from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Oakridge Court,, Algonquin in the parking area across from Sonic Drive-In, 1090 S. Randall Road, Algonquin.

"With school starting in just a few weeks, we wanted to make this a fun event for all ages," said DeAnna Kell, owner of Elite Laser & Skin Spa and co-coordinator of this year's Cruise Night. "We'll have plenty of cars for the car enthusiasts to enjoy, along with 15 plus business members displaying their products offering a variety of activities to enjoy. This is sure to be a great evening for everyone."

The chamber also wants to help the local food pantry by asking visitors and attendees to bring a nonperishable food item and as a thank you, receive a coupon for a free ice cream cone from Sonic Drive-In.
