Three injured in Winfield crash
Three people were injured in a three-car accident Friday afternoon on Roosevelt Road in Winfield.
Winfield firefighters said paramedics responded to the crash at 3:40 p.m. at Roosevelt Road and East Street, where the accident snarled both eastbound and westbound traffic.
Authorities were unsure of the cause and police could not be reached early Friday evening.
The three victims were taken to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, but fire officials said they did not know the extent of their injuries.
In addition to Winfield fire and police, paramedics from the Wheaton Fire Department and West Chicago Fire Protection District assisted at the scene.
