Your news: Service Club members help Habitat for Humanity

From July 26-30 a group of 10 Prospect High School Service Club members traveled to West Bend, Wis., to work on a project with Habitat for Humanity of Washington County.

Club members spent three days working on construction of a duplex ranch that will house two low-income families with single mothers. The students installed exterior and interior insulation, readied two garages to receive concrete floors, and helped build exterior roof overhangs. For fun, the group attended a Milwaukee Brewers baseball game and the Ozaukee County Fair.

Chaperones for the group were Dave Jacobson, Prospect's Service Learning coordinator, and Rachel Brill, a guidance counselor at the school. This was the 13th such trip dating back to 1997. All 10 students will be seniors at Prospect High School this fall.
