Second primary a waste of time

I am writing to offer my opinion on the Judge John Grady's decision to require a second election primary or election other than the general election to fill the two month gap, which in my mind is an absolute waste of time and the people's money. And elected officials are the ones who only care.

My reason is that our state is on the brink of collapse with debt that no one has figured out how to repay. People are without jobs, food, housing and health care, and we are concerned about who should serve the 60-day gap from one administration to another. Dear Mr. Judge, how about if you and every state employee give up 50 percent of your income for one month? That ought to just about cover the cost. Or, Mr. Judge, how about having every politician in the state put up 25 percent of their campaign funds to cover the cost. Richie Daley's $500,000 would be a good start. Or maybe you could tap into Michael Madigan's campaign contributors fund and that would surely cover it. That should include judges who have to run for re-election to the bench. That would be a better use of the campaign money.
