Should've called it Party of 'Know

I think the writer of the July 22 Fence Post letter may have misspelled the Republicans as the Party of "No" when she should have referred to the party who actually researches and thinks the consequences through as the Party of "Know."

I agree that unemployment benefits had to be increased (fourfold to two years) to help those hurting due to real layoffs. But, was there anything wrong with asking Congress to make room for the increases by reducing bloated welfare expenses elsewhere?

I truly hope the American voter does; in fact, remember those in November who voted nay to the unfunded and pork-ladened extension without first challenging the business-as-usual mentality of the Party of Yes (to anything feel good).

I also hope the writer's low opinion of the American voter bites her party in November.
