Roselle police seek school burglary suspect

Police are seeking the public's help in finding a suspect in two burglaries at St. Walter School in Roselle.

The first happened in the school on Maple Street at an unknown time the weekend of June 21, officials said, while the second occurred near midnight July 27. Police added they are unsure what was taken during each robbery, and no vandalism or injuries occurred in the empty school.

St. Walter School officials provided investigators with video footage of both burglaries, which each show a male suspect. Police say they are unsure if the same person appears on both tapes.

Investigators also said they know how the suspect entered the building, but would not reveal how since the method is "unique."

If anyone has information or recognizes the man in either image, call Detective Sergeant John Lawson at (630) 671-4044 or e-mail crimetips@roselle.il.us.
