Two Schaumburg residents charged in drug cases
Two Schaumburg residents were charged separately Saturday on various felony counts that involved cannabis, hashish and other illegal drugs.
Jason Nordlander, 21, of the 1800 block of Portsmith in Schaumburg, was charged with felony intent to deliver about 35 grams of cannabis and felony possession of a controlled substance including 1.5 grams of hashish and about 30 pills of hydrocodone with codeine, a narcotic, without a prescription.
In addition, he was charged with a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia that included scales and packaging materials, said Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Adam Klugman. Nordlander appeared in bond court in Rolling Meadows Saturday.
Cook County Sheriff's police searched his home Thursday and reported finding the illegal drugs and materials.
Nordlander was ordered held on a $10,000 bond by Cook County Circuit Court Judge Howard Fink. Nordlander's next court date is Aug. 19 in Rolling Meadows.
In a separate case, Cheryl Nordlander, of the same address, was charged with misdemeanor possession of 2.5 grams of cannabis and a felony charge of possession of one pill of OxyContin, a narcotic without a prescription.
The drugs were discovered during the same search, but authorities would not confirm the relationship between the two people. Her age was unavailable.
Cheryl Nordlander also appeared before Judge Fink and was ordered held on a $10,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear again on July 29 at the courthouse at 26th Street and California Avenue, Chicago.
