Blackhawks TV schedule adds 4 preseason games

Four of the Chicago Blackhawks' seven preseason games will be televised next season, the most in franchise history.

Comcast SportsNet will carry preseason games with the defending Stanley Cup champions against Tampa Bay, and WGN-TV will broadcast rival matchups against Detroit and St. Louis, team officials announced Wednesday.

Compared with the 2008-09 regular season, ratings for games on Comcast SportsNet increased 94 percent while games on WGN-TV increased 86 percent during the 2009-10 regular season.

Here's a glance at the 2010 Blackhawks preseason schedule:

Sept. 22: at Tampa Bay Lightning (MTS Centre in Winnipeg), 7 p.m., CSN

Sept. 24: at Detroit Red Wings (Joe Louis Arena), 6 p.m. CSN

Sept. 25: Detroit Red Wings (United Center), 7 p.m. WGN

Sept. 28: at Pittsburgh Penguins (Consol Energy Center), 6 p.m., No TV

Sept. 30: at St. Louis Blues (Scottrade Center), 7 p.m., No TV

Oct. 1: Pittsburgh Penguins (United Center), 7:30 p.m., No TV

Oct. 3: St. Louis Blues (United Center), 5 p.m. WGN Source: Blackhawks
