Bears sign running back Harvey Unga to 4-year deal, release 2
The Chicago Bears signed RB Harvey Unga to a four-year contract and released DT Jimmy Saddler-McQueen and WR Vic Hall. Terms of Unga's contract were not disclosed.
Unga was selected by the Bears in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Supplemental Draft out of BYU. He is the Cougars all-time leading rusher with 3,455 rushing yards on 696 carries (5.0 ypc). He added 102 career receptions for 1,085 yards in 41 games in four seasons (2006-09) for BYU. Unga totaled 45 career touchdowns (36 rushing and nine receiving).
Saddler-McQueen and Hall were undrafted free agents out of Texas A&M-Kingsville and Virginia, respectively.
