Kindness of stranger an example to all
Just when you start to doubt mankind, an angel appears.
On the afternoon of July 11 I pulled into the Hoffman Estates Aldi store to get a few groceries. My husband, who is having chemo for pancreatic cancer, wanted to come along for the trip.
We pulled alongside a car where there was a gentleman and a little girl. When my husband got out of the car he felt weak and dizzy. The gentleman got out of his car and helped me get my husband back into the car. I waited for my husband to feel better and ran into get the few things I needed. The man in the car assured me that he was going to be there for a little while and he would keep and eye on my husband.
When I returned 10 to 15 minutes later, the man and his wife (who were done with their shopping) were waiting for me to come out. They asked if they could follow me home and help me get him into the house. I assured them that I would be fine and thanked them. Thanks was not enough. The stranger was my angel. If we can all pass it forward, what a wonderful place this would be.
