Lake Forest graduate school to relocate, expand in Schaumburg
The Lake Forest Graduate School of Management said Friday it planes to relocate its Schaumburg campus from its current location inside the Motorola Galvin Center, at 1295 East Algonquin Road, after 22 years.
It will move to 1300 E. Woodfield Road, Suite 600, at the intersection of Woodfield and Meacham. The new campus will occupy 14,000 square feet on the building's sixth floor, and is expected to open in late November.
The campus space is being specifically tailored on the sixth floor of Woodfield Corners. The campus will offer five state-of-the-art classrooms, conference rooms, breakout rooms and spaces for studying, dining and relaxing. The building offers free parking and an upscale vending and lounge area.
"We're thrilled to offer a new location in this region that will be easily accessible and provide better visibility for the School," Lake Forest Graduate School of Management President and CEO John Popoli said. "I'm confident that our students, faculty, staff and alumni will agree that the new location is an appropriate setting for the results-oriented business education we provide."
The building has been completely remodeled both inside and outside. It is owned/managed by Crossroads Development Partners, and LFGSM has partnered with Nevin Hedlund Architects, Inc., of River Forest, IL, to design the new campus. The build-out of the space is being managed by Jones Lang LaSalle, and LFGSM was represented by Studley, Inc., during its facility search and lease negotiation procedures. Construction will begin in coming weeks.
The new Schaumburg campus is expected to begin serving students and executive education clients before the end of the year.
"For the past 22 years, experienced professionals in the Northwest Suburbs have chosen LFGSM for its quality, for its practical curriculum, its business-leader faculty, and its experienced student body," said the school's Vice President and Dean Arlene Mayzel. "Now, we're expanding our definition of quality to include a Schaumburg campus that offers a superior learning environment for the experienced business professionals who choose our part-time MBA program. Our new space will allow us increased flexibility of programming, and the ability to host larger events for students, alumni and the area's business community at large."
The school also has campuses in Chicago, Schaumburg, and Lake Forest, and delivers its MBA program on site at Allstate and BlueCross BlueShield Association.
To date, 1,249 business professionals have graduated from Schaumburg campus.
