Arlington Heightsbull; Theodore K. Larson, 47, of the 200 block of South Parklane, Palatine, was arrested around 1:15 a.m. July 3 at Cypress and Arlington Heights roads and charged with felony aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, felony possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia (digital scale and brass pipe), and resisting a peace officer. He refused to get out of his car and struggled during the arrest, reports said. His court date is Aug. 12. He has two prior convictions for DUI, reports said.bull; Patrick F. Karney, 27, of the 1500 block of Orth Court, Wheaton, was arrested around 11:30 p.m. July 1 at Jewel, 1860 S. Arlington Heights Road, and charged with felony retail theft. Reports said he took nine packs of razor blades, 10 packages of allergy tablets, 12 packages of heartburn medication, and gum. Value was estimated at $855. His court date is July 19.bull; Carla Dee Reed, 48, of the 1200 block of Nutting Street, Cedar Hill, Texas, was arrested around 8:10 p.m. June 29 in a hotel on the 2100 block of South Arlington Heights Road and charged with prostitution after an undercover officer answered an ad on backpage.com. Her court date is July 26.bull; Vandals scratched the passenger's side of a 2010 Toyota Camry in a handicapped parking space in a store lot at 800 W. Dundee Road between 10:30 and 11 a.m. July 4. The offenders left a note saying the victim was not handicapped. Police believe the person was handicapped. Damage was estimated at $2,000.bull; Burglars stole a 13-foot metal ladder, chain saw, leaf blower/vacuum, propane tank and two extension cords out of an open garage on the 400 block of South Waterman Avenue between 2 and 5 p.m. July 3. Value was estimated at $420. bull; Burglars broke a basement window after removing the screen and entered the basement at a home on the 100 block of North Donald Avenue between 7 and 11:30 p.m. July 3. Officers found blood on top of a washing machine, but nothing appeared to be disturbed or missing. bull; Burglars stole an iPod and loose change out of an unlocked 2009 Subaru sedan in a business lot at 342 E. Rand Road between 12:02 and 12:53 p.m. July 5. Value was estimated at $153. bull; Burglars broke into a 2001 Chevrolet Prizm at Olympic Pool, 660 N. Ridge, between 4:30 and 5:50 p.m. July 5 and stole a large black purse and iPod valued at $100. bull; Burglars stole a GPS valued at $200, a magnifying glass and key out of a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis on the 1300 block of East Brookwood between 3 p.m. June 29 and 6:15 p.m. June 30. During the same time and on the same block, burglars stole a GPS unit, cell phone charger cord, and digital camera out of a 2008 Honda Element. Izquierdo, 41, both of the 7500 block of Elmhurst Road, Des Plaines, were arrested around 5 p.m. July 5 on the 1100 block of South Elmhurst Road. Izquierdo was charged with traffic violations and possession of drug paraphernalia; his court date is July 16. Sullivan was charged with manufacture/delivery of marijuana and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.bull; Cesar A. Romero, 27, of the 100 block of King Lane, Des Plaines, was arrested just after midnight July 7 on the 800 block of Leahy Circle and charged with battery. Reports said he joined a party uninvited, slapped a woman on her buttocks and poured beer on her. His court date is July 21.bull; James H. Snyder, 39, of the 1800 block of Cree Lane, Mount Prospect, was arrested around 6:10 p.m. July 6 in a parking lot at 1535 Ellinwood St. and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after officers found him sleeping in his car. His court date is Aug. 4.Mount Prospectbull; A man stole 20 bottles of vodka from Jewel-Osco, 333 E. Euclid Ave., around 11 a.m. July 3. He hid them in one of the store's hand-held baskets and carried the basket out the north side entrance door. Value was estimated at $575. He left in a Chrysler Sebring coupe driven by a female accomplice.bull; Vandals smashed the glass patio door at home on the 1800 block of Oneida Lane between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. July 6. Damage was estimated at $500.bull; A witness saw four or five teenage boys, 13-14 years old, standing around a Dumpster at Robert Frost North School, 1805 N. Aspen Drive, around 7:45 p.m. July 2. The witness saw one of the boys toss something into the Dumpster and saw the container catch fire. The Dumpster belongs to ARC Disposal of Mount Prospect. Hamontree, 25, of the 900 block of North Sterling Avenue, Palatine, was arrested around 11 p.m. July 6 on Route 53 north of Northwest Highway and charged with possession of marijuana after an officer smelled burned marijuana in the car and a police dog uncovered 50 grams of the drug. bull;Burglars stole a GPS valued at $255 out of a 2004 Nissan Maxima on the 1600 block of West North Street between midnight July 1 and noon July 6. bull; Burglars stole the in-dash CD player and loose change out of a 1999 Ford Ranger pickup truck on the 2200 block of North Enlund Drive between 2 p.m. July 3 and 6:30 a.m. July 6.
