Elginbull; A resident told police that three men in the 800 block of Bode Road did drive-by shootings Saturday morning with a pellet gun. Reports said the men, riding in a silver-colored car, shot out the rear window of a parked red Pontiac minivan and rear window of a tan Chevrolet minivan. Reports said one of the men aimed a laser pointer at the person who reported the incidents. The silver car was last seen heading west on Bode Road. bull; Between July 2009 and September 2009, a former employee stole $926 in merchandise and gift cards from the Pep Boys store in the 1000 block of Summit Street, reports said. A store employee reported the incident Friday and said the former employee stole $406 in merchandise, then used an unauthorized rewards card to rack up points on other people's transactions. The former employee used those points to obtain store gift cards worth $520, police said. The employee was fired Friday, reports said. No charges have been filed.bull; A backpack left on the bleachers at Judson University was stolen Friday, police said.
