Mayor Daley fails citizens by backing gun ban

Unfortunately, a brave young man goes overseas to a theater of war twice only to come back to the dangerous streets of Chicago to be killed here. Statistically Chicago is more dangerous than Iraq and Afghanistan.

How can this be with the very strict gun control laws that put Chicago at the forefront in the nation on strict gun laws?

Fortunately the young man's father was able to put down one of the animals responsible for killing his son. Today an elderly man defended his home with a firearm and killed an armed thug with a rap sheet for gun offenses and other crimes. Why is it if Mayor Daley believes his stringent measures are working is there a police detail assigned to him 24/7/365 at taxpayer expense? Why is it that Chicago Alderman are deputized under a law from the 1870s and can carry firearms but they deny the right of protection to the people?

Daley's subjects are revolting. The elderly man's neighbor stated she believes that you have the right to kill someone coming into your home.

If Daley believes, he should have a gun protecting him why does he believe that others should not be able to protect themselves and their families.
