Palatine Public Library District board appoints new trustee

The Palatine Public Library District board has appointed Susanne W. Glazbrook to fill a vacancy on the Board. Glazbrook was sworn in at a special meeting of the board June 29.

Glazbrook has been a resident of the library district for 14 years. She participated in public input sessions regarding the Second Floor Renovation project which was completed in 2009. Glazbrook has experience as an attorney in both the private and public sectors. She has two young daughters, and is an active volunteer with her church and PTA.

She said in a news release that she will work to be "a good representative for families who frequently utilize the library and a problem solver to better understand why some patrons currently underutilize the library."
