Predators sign left wing Sergei Kostitsyn

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Nashville Predators have signed free agent Sergei Kostitsyn to a one-year contract worth $550,000.

Kostitsyn was acquired from Montreal in exchange for forward Dustin Boyd and goaltender Dan Ellis.

The 23-year-old left wing from Novopolotsk, Belarus, had 18 points in 47 games with Montreal last season. He also represented Belarus in the 2010 Olympics, leading his team with five points in four games.

Kostitsyn was drafted in the seventh round in 2005 by Montreal.
