Kaneland boosters fundraiser:From 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday Paisano's Pizza and Grill, 106 N. Main St. in Elburn will donate 65 percent of all orders to the Kaneland Sports Boosters. Community members are encouraged to place a food order during those times and help raise $1,000 to support the boosters. This is the fourth year that Paisano's has hosted a fundraiser for various charities. Past recipients have been Conley Outreach, Elburn Lions Club and American Legion. Local artists and vendors will begin showing at 5 p.m. and gourmet food tastings will begin at 6 p.m. A free perennial and goody bag will be given to the first 250 ladies to register for the event and a raffle for a large gift basket will benefit the Fox Valley Hospice. There is no charge for the event but canned food items will be collected and distributed to local food pantries. The survey, which is located on the county's website, gives individuals the chance to rank what issues are most important to them - and what issues they believe DuPage should be making a top priority during its upcoming budget process. The proposed spending plan is expected to be presented in September. Do your children know what to do in an emergency? Geneva residents can learn about fire safety during free home safety inspections by the Geneva Fire Department.
