Summit held on work force

The village of Hanover Park on Thursday sponsored a Community Development Workforce summit at FujiFilm in the Turnberry Lakes Business Park.

More than 25 professionals, including state Rep. Fred Crespo (D-Hoffman Estates) and representatives from community colleges, businesses and employment agencies, discussed obstacles and opportunities associated with educational and work force needs.

Hanover Park officials say they're seeking to bridge the gap between employment and education to provide a skilled labor force to local businesses.
